three-part management course: lesson 1 - sitting

A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A small rabbit saw the crow, and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?" The crow answered: "Sure, why not?".

So the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Management Lesson 1: to be sitting doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

  1. And to amplify the point – a tale :

Every morning in the African savannah a lion wakes up.

    The lion thinks to himself,

“Today, I NEED to run faster than the slowest gazelle or I will have no lunch and will starve to death....”.

    ....and,

Every morning in the African savannah a gazelle wakes up.

    The gazelle thinks to himself,

“Today, I NEED to run faster than the fastest lion or I will be eaten and I WILL BE LUNCH!”

    The moral of this tale?

Whether you are a lion or a gazelle, it does not matter.

Just MAKE SURE that you are running as fast as you can when you wake up in the morning....
